What's not to like about this one? Julie Adams in a one piece, and a guy running around in a rubber suit. There was a campy feel about it that appealed to our juvenile tastes. Not to mention the long legs of Julie Adams who spent much of the movie in a swimsuit. While it will always remain a classic in horror movies, and rightfully so, with its underwater scenes, there's no denying there was a degree of corniness about it.
And while we're on the subject, how about Abbott and Costello meet The Creature From the Black Lagoon.
